From Your Board of Directors...
Dear Members & Friends of CCMCC,

We have exciting news to share with you all regarding our pastoral search!  The Team has unanimously chosen a pastoral candidate to present to the membership for approval!

We will announce the name this Sunday, November 8th.  This candidate possesses all the qualities, and more, that were deemed important on the surveys and during the workshops. We are thrilled to make this announcement on Sunday and eager to hear your responses.

It is a new day and a new beginning for CCMCC.  This decision is a giant step forward for us as we continue to move closer to becoming the Church that we all know that we can be.

Thank you all for your prayers and support as we considered and interviewed candidates.  It was a difficult process, but well worth the wait!

Peace and blessings,
CCMCC Board of Directors and Pastoral Search Team
Rev. Jackie Jenkins needs your help!
This Sunday, November 8, Rev. Jackie Jenkins is preaching at Christ Covenant MCC.  Rev. Jenkins has asked for your help in her sermon.  She asks us to ponder the question, "What Are You Afraid Of?" and send your responses to her email address, jjenkins@stmarkumc.org before Friday.  All responses will be kept confidential.  Thank you for your participation!
Atlanta Pride
We need Pride pictures so we can do a Pride Photo Album on our website and in the Chimes!  If you have any pictures that you took out at Pride or if you know of anyone who took pictures while you were there, please ask them to send these photo's, via email to christcovenant@christcovenantmcc.org!  Thank you!!!

We want to put a HUGE THANK YOU out to Helen Malone and Jenny Webb for all of your hard work and handout goodies for the CCMCC Church Booth this past weekend! There was not one frisbee, magnet, pencil, t-shirt etc. left to hand out on Sunday afternoon!  Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out and staffed the booth and got our name out into the community!  It was a great weekend and ya'll helped to make that possible, so thanks to everyone for your contributions and hard work!

We want to put a HUGE THANK YOU out to Sheri Coleman and Sheri Smith for providing an awesome parade experience!  Sheri and Sheri provided their beautiful car and wonderful signage as well as driving us in the Pride Parade on Sunday!  Thank you to the walkers and riders who came out to support CCMCC and get our name out there to the massive crowds attending the parade!  It was a great time and we appreciate everyone's hard work and efforts!

Please join us this Sunday at 9:30 as we continue our series on Abraham and his descendents.  This week we'll discuss Jacob and the 12 Tribes of Israel. If you haven't been able to come before, we promise to catch you up!  Hope to see you there!
All Church Workday
(Pride in your church day part II)
On Saturday, November 14, we will have "Pride In Your Church Day"  Part II.  Hopefully we will have as big a crowd that stayed for the inside to come and work on the outside.  The grass will be cut, edging done, and branches bagged and taken to the street.  This building, again, is our wonderful resource, and we all need to help maintain it!  Grab your friends and let's all pull together and get this place looking wonderful as we head into the fall/winter season!

A hearty breakfast will be prepared by Barb Devlin and we will eat at 8:30am and then head out to take care of our grounds!  There will be a sign-up sheet in the Narthex.  Please indicate any tools you may have and will be bringing with you.  If you have any questions or need further information, please see our Facilities team leader, Barb Devlin.  Thanking you in advance for your service!

One Spirit, One Body
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all
baptized into one body- Jews or Greeks, slaves or free- and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
-1 Corinthians 12:12-13

We will not have open registration the day of the retreat at Camp Mikell as we have in previous years. No fees or registration for the retreat will be accepted after next Tuesday, November 10, 2009.
