Dear Members & Friends of CCMCC,
What an exciting time it is at CCMCC!
The Pastoral Search Team met for the last
time on Tuesday evening to plan the candidate week for Reverend Elder Glenna
Shepherd. She will be here the first
week of December, and we have planned a variety of activities so that everyone will have the opportunity to get to
know or get re-acquainted with Glenna before the vote on Sunday, December 6th.
On Wednesday, December 2nd and Thursday, December
3rd, we have scheduled time for Rev. Elder Shepherd to meet
individually with congregants. The times
available are:
Wednesday afternoon between 3:30 and 6:30pm Wednesday evening
between 7:30 and 9:30pm Thursday afternoon between 2:30 and 5:30pm
To make an appointment you must contact Angela in the church office at
404.373.2933 or via email to: christcovenant@christcovenantmcc.org If you are sending an email, please put "Appt.- Glenna" in the subject line.
Members of the church community have graciously offered to host
"Meet & Greets" in their homes.
These informal gatherings will provide a time to for Rev. Elder Shepherd
to share with you her vision and plans for CCMCC.
Cathy Giarrusso and Mary Louise Upshaw will
host Thursday, December 3rd at 7pm.
Zoila Freeman will host
Saturday, December 5th at 1pm.
Mickey Mittong will host
Saturday, December 5th at 7pm.
Light refreshments will be provided and everyone is invited to attend!
You must RSVP with Angela in the church office to be registered for one of these meet & greets.
Finally, Friday, December 4th, we will host an
All Church Social at 7pm in Davis Hall to welcome our pastoral candidate and
show some of our Southern hospitality.
We encourage everyone to attend and ask that you bring your favorite
finger food to share. This will not be a
sit-down dinner, but more of a casual get-together to relax and enjoy great food
and fellowship!
If you have any questions,
please contact us at bod@christcovenantmcc.org
or call or email Angela in the church office.
Peace and blessings,
CCMCC Board of Directors

All Church Workday, This Saturday! (Pride in your church day part II)
|
|
This Saturday, November 14, we will have "Pride In Your Church Day" Part II. Hopefully we will have as big a crowd that stayed for the inside to come and work on the outside. The grass will be cut, edging done, and branches bagged and taken to the street. This building, again, is our wonderful resource, and we all need to help maintain it! Grab your friends and let's all pull together and get this place looking wonderful as we head into the fall/winter season!
A hearty breakfast will be prepared by Barb Devlin and we will eat at 8:30am and then head out to take care of our grounds! There will be a sign-up sheet in the Narthex. Please indicate any tools you may have and will be bringing with you. If you have any questions or need further information, please see our Facilities team leader, Barb Devlin. Thanking you in advance for your service!

Thank you Bea Weatherford!
|
|
Please notice this week when you are at the church, the front entrance has been completely re-done. Bea Weatherford stayed this past Sunday, after church, and weeded and planted beautiful flowers and plants for our entrance way and around the mailbox area. It looks beautiful Bea! Thank you so much for your hard work!
