From Your Board of Directors...
|
|
| Dear Members & Friends of CCMCC,
Last Sunday, we provided outreach to families at Jerusalem House. Thanks to everyone who contributed gifts for the mothers and children!
This Sunday, we will be reaching out to those within our church family who are most in need. If you would like to help, please bring a gift card from Kroger, Publix, or
Wal-Mart.
We will also be taking a special offering for our staff this Sunday. Please contribute as you are able in recognition of their valuable work.
As most of you know, the Church facility has been in need of some repairs. We're happy to report that as an early Christmas present someone bought us a new hot water heater and then someone donated the gift of getting our roof and steeple fixed! We'd like to give a special thanks to everyone who donated these gifts!
May Peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing throughout the year, CMCC Board of Directors

| CCMCC Christmas Project... |
|
This Christmas at Christ Covenant our goal was to reach out to help those closest to us.
This Sunday, December 20, we light the candle of LOVE - In an act of loving the friends and members in our very own congregation, donors have helped to meet the special needs of congregational members who are in the midst of hardship.
This is the last Sunday to give donations. You can bring gift cards from Publix, Kroger or Wal-Mart or give cash or check donation. Please see Ruth Gabriel if you want to give within your own community! All donors and recipients will remain anonymous.
Thank you to Ruth Gabriel for all of your hard work in putting this together and for the love you have shown to our CCMCC community! |

Christmas Eve

Advent
"The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it." -John 1:5
|
|
Advent is a time when we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ. It is a time of hope and expectation, reflection and preparation, and it is a celebration of light in the midst of darkness.
The Advent Wreath, a symbol of these themes, is made of evergreen branches and contains 4 candles, three purple and one pink, representing Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.
Each week during Advent, we have lit one candle. The light of the candles grow brighter the closer we get to Christmas. On Christmas, we will light the center white candle, the Christ candle, to celebrate the light that Christ brings to the world.
Please join us as we prepare our hearts for the revelation of God's love through the birth of Jesus. |

IMAGINE a world in which Hope is rising ...IMAGINE a world in which Peace is prevailing... IMAGINE a world in which Joy is abounding... IMAGINE a World in which Love is reigning ... -Rev. Elder Nancy Wilson The First Sunday of Advent, we lit the candle of HOPE and signed Christmas Cards for our troops overseas, sending out our thanks and prayers to these service women and men with the hope of their safe return home. The Second Sunday of Advent we lit the candle of PEACE and prayed for the people of Darfur and for peace in their land.
Last Sunday we lit the candle of JOY and then met in Davis Hall to wrap over 65 gifts for our adopted families from the Jerusalem House.
Thank you to everyone who has participated in this seasons outreach. Whether you gave prayers, gifts, money or time, know that you have played an active role in changing the lives of others. Imagine a world changed by your hands, remembering God has no hands but ours. |

Starting in January, meetings will go back to once a month, the first Tuesday of each month. We welcome your input and encourage you to attend these meetings as you are able. |
